Ghana winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie has made Pantahanaikos’ 30-man squad for this season’s Uefa Europa League.

The 26-year-old spent last season on loan from from Qatari club Al-Sadd before making his move to Athens permanent this summer.

The former Arsenal player is however one of two players yet to feature for The Greens this term.

He was however included in Jesualdo Ferreira’s squad for the European campaign where they face Tottenham, Lazio and Maribor  in Group J.

Abeyie’s recent inactive club career has seen him increasingly drawn into oblivion in the Ghana national team, the Black Stars.

Panathanaikos’ Europa League squad: Sissoko, Boumsong, Pinto, Vitolo, Mavrias, Toche, Christodoulopoulos, Fornaroli, Seitaridis, Zeca, Sow, Barbarouses, Marinos, Lagos, Vyntra, Kotsolis, Karnezis, Petropoulos, Katsouranis, Spyropoulos, Tabakis, Fourlanos, Kapino, Chouchoumis, Kousidis, Velazquez, Triantafyllopoulos, Donis, Marinakis, Quincy.

Please do not lie to us. Quincy was never inactive at Panathanaikos, in fact he was one of their best players last season. He scored 8 goals and gave 16 assists and you call that inactive?
Akwasi Appiah has neither answer or explanation of excluding him from the squad. We need Quincy at our right-back and Atsu at the left-back – PERIOD

You said it all Boss. This guy is good as hell, a lil bit selfish but every player hv a negative side. Gh now are recovering some great players. this is the time to put together all the best ones n let go de weak one for them to work harder to return to B.S and also help them in their carrier. gracias

I think if appiah want to be a coach to be remembered,he needs to give equal opportunity to all ghanaian players and for Christ sake can gfa tell us what that boy has done! I find it so hard to believe that he have such an experienced player, who is a world class in my opinion be relegated to the background like that!!! What’s has done at all to the fa? People talked about indiscipline but i haven’t heard and gfa member associated him with a bad thing in camp so why are we treating him like that? He could have play for Holland but opted for Ghana instead and this should tell anyone how he loves Ghana! We haven’t this guy a chance yet eversince his switch and i think he has alot to prove…. if we really are serious of winning the elusive fifth again title, then all hands should be on deck, and this should include assembling our possible squad ever and we shouldn’t forget we have a very poor bench and some matches are won from the bench!!!! Parish should as matter urgent, invite quincy and at least assessed him because he deserved every chance like any ghanaian!! I know quincy is hurt by this neglected but i think he should advice himself when giving the second chance and prove himself big time!!! Viva the revolutioncion!!!

Ghana soccernet, we need answers on the refusal to invite Abeyie.
