Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris has been named in the best XI players of the French Ligue 1 who could face relegation at the end of the season.

The on-loan striker, who is also likely to feature in the World Cup, has nine goals in 14 games.

With competition for the striker’s role at Spartak Moscow, he apparently requested a move with an eye to confirming his ticket to Brazil – could he want another one with CAN 2015 soon appearing on the horizon?

Waris has been picked alongside striker Mustapha Yatabare of Bordeaux.

Zambian defender Stoppila Sunzu who has been in top form for Sochaux gets a mention and his partner is Bordeaux’s Christophe Kerbrat.

Others named in the best XI players bound for relegation in France are Mexican international goalkeeper Guillermo ‘Memo’ Ochoa who plays for Ajaccio.

Ajaccio captain Sebastien Corchia is left-back and Youssouf Sabaly as the righ-back.

The pack of midfielders include Mehdi Mostefa, Claudio Beauvue, Daniel Wass and Arthur Masuaku, who can play both left-back and on the wing.
