Andre Ayew has about one year left on his Marseille contract

Ghana's influential midfielder Andre Ayew has revealed he has yet to make a decision over his future at French side Marseille.

Ayew is in the final 18 months of his contract at Marseille and he admits he is unsure over his long-term future.

The 24-year-old was linked with a move to England last summer, but Ayew decided to stay at Marseille and he will wait and see if they offer a contract extension to keep him in the south of France.

"Why did I stay last summer? The officials told me about the project with young players to lead," Ayew told L'Equipe. "I liked it.

"To me, there were first contacts at the end (of the summer). There were a lot of talks, but after August 20 I decided to stay.

"I would not change my decision at the last moment.

"Indeed next June I will have just one year remaining on my contract. So there are questions the club and me are thinking about.

"Have I received an offer of an extension? We have not reached that point so far.

"When the officials will be ready, or if they want to propose me anything, we will see."
