MIDDLESBROUGH new boy Albert Adomah is set to make his debut at Charlton Athletic in the English Championship today (kick-off 3pm UK time).

The Bristol City forward finally completed his move to the Riverside on Thursday for a fee in the region of £1m.

And, having penned a three-year deal, Boro boss Tony Mowbray is excited by the arrival of the 25-year-old Ghana international.

Adomah is expected to be thrown at the deep end on Saturday as he starts to help them to return to the English Premier League.

Mowbray insists that he sees Adomah more as a wide, creative player who can help them achieve their goals.

“Albert is a creative wide player who can run up and down the right wing, cause teams problems with his speed and his trickery,” he said.

“He’s somebody who can add a little bit of excitement to our team, a bit of forward thrust, a little bit speed and we’ll see how he goes.

“He brings directness so let’s hope he has a decent time with us.”

The move will keep Adomah in the eyes of Ghanaians as he is a member of the Ghana national team.
