Ghana winger Frank Acheampong is not discouraged by Anderlecht’s early exit from this season’s UEFA Champions League.

The Belgian giants crashed out of the competition after finishing last in Group C alongside PSG, Olympiakos Piraeus and Benfica.

Anderlecht failed to record even a single win throughout the six games played in the group phase to record one of their worst performance in Europe.

But the 20-year-old is not bogged down by his club’s failure as he believes it will serve a good lesson in getting better next season.

“I am all that disappointed,” he told Metro FM.

“This is the Champions League – meaning it is the next level.

“So even though we are sad that we are out we will learn from this experience so that next season we make a more meaningful impact.”

Acheampong joined Anderlecht earlier this year after excelling at Thai giants Buriram United.

He is the fastest player among all the Black Stars players and we will need that attribute in Brazil. Besides, our true left winger Sulley Muntari has lost a step. He cannot be running up and down like Acheampong will do. We should let him sub Sulley in Brazil.
