Ghana U23 goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi believes they are capable of beating Nigeria in Friday’s international friendly.

The Black Meteors will take on a relatively experienced local Super Eagles in an exhibition match to open the newly constructed Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Oyo.

The Ghanaian contingent arrived in Nigeria yesterday and trained for the first time the stadium.

Antwi, one of the few youth internationals in the squad, is already excited about the prospect of taking on Ghana’s rivals.

“The training has been successful and I must say the confidence in the team is very encouraging,” the Asante Kotoko glovesman told GHANASoccernet.com

“Everybody is looking forward and hopeful that we defeat Nigeria.

“Even though it’s a friendly we have all decided to win it since there are no such games between Ghana and Nigeria.”
