Black Princesses to travel to Obuasi on Saturday

Ghana’s U20 women’s team will travel to Obuasi this weekend to step up their preparations towards their World Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea.

The Black Princesses have been camping at the Ghanaman Centre for Excellence in Prampram.

The team led by coach Bashir Hayford will move their camp to Obuasi on Saturday where they will step up their preparations for the next five days.

The team will then return to Accra on Thursday to catch their flight to Equatorial Guinea for the first leg of the qualifier which will be played on January 11.

“Preparations have been good so far and we look to take it to another level this weekend when we travel to Obuasi,” assistant coach Edina Yeke said.

“We plan to play a friendly match against a select side from the Ashanti Region to get the team in shape before we return to Accra.”

Ghana looks to make another appearance at the 2014 World Cup which will be staged in Canada.
