Ghana names strong squad to face Italy U20s

The technical handlers of the Ghana Under-20 team have picked their final 18-man squad to play Italy next week, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The squad will be captaned by reigning Sports Writers Association of Ghana Premier League best player Mumuni Abubakar of New Edubiase United.

Others performers from the top flight are Hearts striker Thomas Abbey, Kotoko left-back Baba Rahman, Goalkeeper John Moosie and defender Alfred Nelson.

Nasiru Mohammed who captained the 2009 Ghana Under-17 team has been named in the squad.

The Black Satellites will play their Italian counterparts on 9 November before engaging Parma Primavera squad three days later.

The team will leave Accra on Monday 7 November and will return on 13 November.

Ghana want to reclaim the African Youth Championship title they relinquished to Nigeria at this year's finals in South Africa.
