Ghana U20 striker Ebenezer Assifuah will make the country’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, pundits have predicted.

Assifuah, who currently plays for Swish side FC Sion, is believed to be among few players who could gatecrash Kwesi Appiah’s squad of the global showpiece.

There are many who believe the 20-year-old will explode on the World stage if he is given the chance to make the squad.

The ex-Liberty Professionals striker is not a name football fans across the global have forgotten having excelled heavily for Ghana’s Under-20 side at the 2013 FIFA World Youth Championship in Turkey.

The budding talent grabbed six-goals to finish as top scorer, helping fire the Black Satellites to a third place finish and earning him the adidas Golden Boot award.

The fleet-footed forward was an integral part of an extraordinary turnaround for the team as they picked bronze, which earned him a move to the Swish side to develop his talent.

Widespread media reports claimed on Tuesday that he is being seriously considered for a call-up into the Black Stars ahead of the international friendly against Holland on May 31.

The reports have gone on to suggest that he will be in the squad alongside captain Asamoah Gyan, Abdul Majeed Waris and Jordan Ayew as the country’s four main attackers at the global piece in the South American country.
