Ghana U20 star Boakye-Yiadom ruled out of Italy clash

Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has been ruled out of Ghana Under-20's friendly against Italy on Wednesday due to injury.

The in-form 18-year-old has been advised by the Sassuolo medical to sit out the tie because of the leg injury.

Boakye-Yiadom has been hailed for his mind-blowing goal scoring form in the Serie A this season.

He was a member of Ghana set-up which had a disastrous campaign at the 2011 African Youth Championship.

In  his absence, Charles Dwamina of Liberty Professionals and Nasiru Mohammed (Rainbow FC) are expected to lead the attack.

Support will also come from Fiorentina's Maxwell Boadi Acosty will lead the attack.

Boakye-Yiadom has netted eight goals in all competitions and seven away from his target of 15 goals this term.
