Ghana's Under-20 suffered a 2-0 defeat to hosts South Africa on Sunday in the Cape Town Invitational Tournament.

The Black Satellites twice hit the woodwork; South Africa created chances at will and should have scored four or five goals.

After several early squandered opportunities South Africa took the lead in the 38th minute when Thabani Thembu headed home from Ngidi's 38th minute free-kick.

Five minutes later Bidvest Wits defender Junior Sibande made it 2-0 when he scrambled home from close range after the Ghana keeper had dropped a cross.

The Black Satellites went into the match after an opening day come-from-behind 3-2 win over Nigeria.

South Africa were beaten 3-1 in their first match by Argentina who are playing the Flying Eagles today.
