Ghana U20 ladies to face Equatorial Guinea in final World Cup qualifier

Ghana’s U20 ladies team will play Equatorial Guinea in the final qualifying round in the African qualifiers to the 2014 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals.

The Black Princesses had a walkover after their opponents for the second qualifying round Uganda withdrew citing financial reasons.

The first leg will be played in Malabo on the weekend of 10-12 January 2014 and the return leg in Accra in a fortnight.

Ghana's U17 team eliminated their Equatoguinean counterparts in the final qualifier to the 2014 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup.

This is the second-time in the qualifiers that Ghana’s opponents have pulled out of the qualifiers.

Guinea-Bissau refused to show up for the first round qualifying round.

Nigeria and South Africa will the winner over two legs qualifying to the finals to be hosted by Canada from 5-24 August.
