Ghana U20 captain Owusu Bempah remains defiant about their chances to progress past Gabon in the qualifiers for the 2015 African Youth Championship.

The Black Satellites were held to a disappointing 0-0 by the Gabone side in the first leg tie at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday.

The Ghanaian looked out of ideas as they labored to a pulsating draw against a well determined side in front of their home fans.

The 2009 World champions will travel to Libreville in two weeks time for the reverse fixture and the Hearts defender has called for calm heads.

“It’s obviously a disappointing result but we should not get overly worried, “he said

“We have found ourselves in such situations in the past and we overcame the obstacle.

“They came here with a well rehearsed plan and it worked for them but we have the second leg to play.

“It’s all to play for in the second leg. I will plead with Ghanaian to pray and support us. We’ll qualify to the next stage of the qualifying campaign.”

Gabon is a pretty a strong place to play!

In 96, we drew at Libreville during pme of the WC qualifiers though it was at the senior level!

In 2008, we went there and they beat us by 2 goals so we have our work cut out for us!!

Is hard to play them at home and we should put a SUPER PREPARATION to beat them at home!!

Ghana is the greatest under 20 side ever and we shouldnt let Gabon stand in our way!

Ghana failed miserably against these minnows of African football. A team that failed to reach the quarter finals of the AFCON in their backyard. So pliz stop hyping them that they strong to make yourselves look good.
