Ghana Under-20 assistant coach Yaw Preko has warned against pressing the panic button ahead of the sideââ¬â¢s trip to Gabon for the decisive qualifier for the 2015 African Youth Championship.Ã
The Ghanaians have their work cut out for them after being held to a disappointing goalless draw at home two weeks ago.
They leave for Libreville on Wednesday night with only one mission â⬓ to secure qualification to next yearââ¬â¢s championship in Senegal.
Ghana assistant coach Yaw Preko has called for calm in the wake of the growing apprehension among local fans.
ââ¬ÅWe have to be patient and donââ¬â¢t get discouraged. We have been in such situations in the past and have managed to surmount the challenge,â⬠he said
ââ¬ÅWe know our destiny is in our own hands and so we have to take it.
ââ¬ÅWe want to qualify to the African Youth Championship and the only way to do that is to negotiate a win past Gabon.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s going to be very difficult but I believe we can do it. We donââ¬â¢t need to panic and take the game as it comes.ââ¬
The Black Satellites clinched silver at the 2013 African Youth Championship in Algeria and went ahead to win bronze at the World Championship in Turkey.
