The Ghana FA has been forced to dismiss Ghana U20 assistant coach Prince Owusu.
The Tema Youth trainer was handed the role on an interim basis following the resignation of CK Akunnor.
Owusu partnered Maxwell Konadu to qualify the side for the African Youth Championships late last year.
He however lacks the requisite qualification to be part of the team for next month’s tournament in Algeria.
This has led to the decision to lay him off by the Ghana FA Executive Committee.
Ex Ghana international Yaw Preko is being reported as Owusu’s replacemment but no confirmation of the appointment has been announced.
The Black Satellites will travel for a training tour of Italy next week in preparation for the tournament that kicks off on March 16.
Ghana is drawn in Group B alongside Gabon, Mali and Nigeria.
