Ghana U17 handed keeper boost to face South Africa's Amajimbos

Posted On Thursday, 1st November 2012

Solomon Addo is fit again to rejoin the Black Stars

Ghana Under-17 first choice goalkeeper Solomon Addo has regained full fitness ahead of their final CAF U17 Championship qualifier.

The DC United shot-stopper had to leave camp because of a back injury but has returned to action in three pre-season matches.

Addo, 16, is the safest pair of hands for head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin who wants to qualify the team to the next year’s finals in Morocco.

The Black Starlets are currently in Takoradi to fine-tune their preparations before the two-legged final round qualifiers.

Ghana travel to face South Africa’s Amajimbos later this month in the first leg tie.

He really looks very young, I think the authorities are doing the right thing now. This will benefit GH football in the long run, looks like the days of age cheat is gradually coming to an end.

  2. Pls Ghana, keep good eye on this lad. He will be great for us.
