Ghana’s U17 women’s team are scheduled to play Nigeria in a two-legged international friendly ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Black Maidens will begin their preparations towards the competition which kicks off on March 15 on January 5 in Prampram.

The team will undergo thorough physical and medical screening as well as tactical and technical development before facing Nigeria in an international friendly.

The match against Nigeria will however be preceded by low key friendlies against local teams at the Tema Park.

It is however unclear at this point where the first leg of the international friendly with Nigeria will be played.

A comprehensive training program has been drawn to prepare the Black Maidens adequately for their third successive World Cup appearance.

Ghana has been drawn in a tough group alongside North Korea, Germany and Canada.
