The future of the Ghana U17 technical team headed by coach Paa Kwesi Fabin will be decided after a meeting with the Ghana FAââ¬â¢s Technical Committee.
The committee will be reviewing the report of the technical team in Ghanaââ¬â¢s failed campaign at the African U17 Championships earlier this year in Morocco.
The Black Starlets failed to win a single game at the championships â⬓ suffering a humiliating 6-1 defeat to Nigeria in the opening match and drawing 1-1 and then 0-0 with Congo and Ivory Coast in the other group games.
The team thus crashed out of the tournaments after just the first round phase â⬓ failing to emulate the heroics of past generations of Ghana U17 teams.
The teamââ¬â¢s technical bench will be under review next week â⬓ after which a decision will be taken to either maintain the coach and his remaining backroom staff or give them the boot after a scheduled meeting next week.
ââ¬ÅWe received a letter from the General Secretary about the U17 report so we have decided to meet them (Ghana U17 technical team) to discuss the report,â⬠Ghana FAââ¬â¢s Technical Committee chairman Ben Koufie told Metro941.com.
ââ¬ÅIt is only after this review that the decision on whether we are retaining the coach or not.ââ¬
