Priscilla Okyere scored a brace against Uruguay on Wednesday
Ghana Women’s U17 captain Priscilla Okyere is confident the Black Maidens can win the 2012 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Ghanaians recorded a resounding 5-0 win over Uruguay in their second group D match on Wednesday to revive their hopes of qualifying to the knockout phase for the first time.
They must now negotiate their final group game against China on Sunday and the 16-year-old has no doubt they can attain the ultimate.
“I want to thank the coach and my colleagues for their contribution and I believe we can win the cup,” Okyere said
“We are listening to instructions and there is no doubt in my mind that we can go places.
“The kind of training that we have gone through under the hands of the coach is amazing. I can even say that not even the guys have had that kind of training.
“I want to urge Ghanaians to pray and support us all the way. There is no turning back.”
Germany drew 1-1 with China to leave the group wide open going into the final games.
Stop exaggeration young lady, its early days yet to start thinking of wining the trophy. More especially when you’re yet to qualify to the quarter-finals.
