Ghana trio miss out on Norwegain league title

Ghana trio of Adam Kwarasey, Razak Nuhu and Bismark Adjei-Boateng have failed in their attempts to win the Norwegian Tippeligaen title.

This comes after their Stromsgodset lost their penultimate league game over the weekend.

The Drammen-based side had to win against Sandnes Ulf to stay in the title race but rather slipped to a defeat 2-1 at the Sandnes Idrettspark on Sunday.

Stromsgodset were seen as hot favourites for the league title and topped the table for several weeks.

However with just one game left to close the season, Molde have managed to retain their title after establishing a four point lead at the top of the table with second-placed Stromsgodset pecking 55 points.

Stromsgodset must beat relegated Stabæk to secure second spot and qualify for next season's Uefa Europa League.

Adjei-Boateng joined Stroms together with youngster Enock Kwakwa in May and has made 8 appearances for the club.

Left-back Razak Nuhu has scored once and provided eight assists in 24 outings for the club while Ghana first choice goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has played 28 games.
