Ghana submit final squad for FIFA U17 Women's World Cup

Black Maidens getting ready for a World Cup qualifier against South Africa

Ghana U17 female coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has submitted his final 21-man squad for the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup finals in Azerbaijan.

The Black Maidens have been in Nurnburg, Germany trimming the rough edges for the start of the tournament on 22 September.

Defender Naomi Anima, who failed to secure a visa for the team’s pre-tournament camping, will join her teammates on Tuesday.

Ghana play their Group B opener against Germany on 23 September before engaging Uruguay three days later.

The Maidens final Group match will be against China.

All of Ghana’s matches will be played in the capital Baku.

Ghana squad:

Goalkeepers: Sawude Issah, Victoria Agyei, Azume Adams

Defenders: Naomi Anima, Ellen Coleman, Vida Opoku, Amina Fuseini, Ivy Kollil, Regina Antwi.

Midfielders: Rasheda Abdul Rahman, Gladys Neequaye, Gladys Amfobea, Samira Abdul Rahman, Priscilla Okyere, Fatima Alhassan.

Strikers: Jane Ayieyam, Lily Nilber-Lawrence, Sherifatu Sumaila, Wasila Diwura-Soale, Alberta Ahialey, Laadu Issaka.
