George Afriyie is the chairman of Ghana's U20 team
Ghana U20 Chairman George Afriyie says gathering information on the country’s opponents at this month’s African Youth Championship has become increasingly difficult.
The Black Satellites will play against hosts Algeria, Benin and Egypt in group A.
The 2009 Champions are currently on a training tour of Italy preparing for the tournament which kick starts on March 16.
The country’s Under-20 chief admits getting the required information on their opponents has become an albatross on their neck.
He told Radio XYZ: “To be honest with you we don’t have any information on our opponents,”
“Information on teams at this level is always difficult. We have tried as much as possible but nothing concrete seems to be happening.
“We have scanty information but we’ll continue to prepare and I’m positive we’ll be ready for them.”
The Black Satellites have lined up a friendly against Italian Seria B side Novara on Monday afternoon.
