Ghana striker Prince Tagoe has declared himself a free agent with claims Club Africain failed to honour contractual obligations.

The 26-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Tunisian club last August as a free agent.

The Black Stars striker is however back in Ghana with claims the contract signed with Club Africain is rendered invalid after they failed to pay him his due wages for three months.

“I was in Tunisia but I am back home now. Right now I am a free agent. It is about the rules of the game,” he told reporters on Thursday.

“If you are not being paid for three months then you know you are a free player. Prince doesn’t make the rules; it is a rule from FIFA.

“So if you’ve been to school and you know your left from your right you just have to deal with it.

“Right now my lawyer is dealing with them [Club Africain] because they broke the rule.”

Tagoe joined the Tunisian club as a free agent after his substantive contract with Turkish club Bursaspor was terminated by mutual consent.

The ex TSG Hoffenheim man is back in Ghana plotting his next move.
