Ghana striker Jordan Ayew delays arrival to seal Nice move

Posted On Tuesday, 4th September 2012

Jordan Ayew is expected to finalize his move to Nice on Tuesday

Olympique Marseille striker Jordan Ayew is expected to seal a loan move to Nice on Tuesday before the French transfer window shuts at midnight.

The 20-year-old has delayed reporting to Ghana’s camp to complete his transfer to the Stade Municipal du Ray.

Nice coach Claude Puel has held advanced discussions with the Stade Velodrome outfit.

Ayew is regarded as a back-up striker at Marseille but wants to play a leading role this season.

Marseile have lined up Valenciennes striker Vincent Aboubakar as his replacement.

Jordan has been named in Ghana’s 24-man squad to play Malawi at home in a 2013 Nations Cup final round first leg qualifier on Saturday.

Breaking news: Jordan is staying with Marseille

      Yeah you are right.

Jordan Ayew’s loan move to Nice fell through at the last minute
Ghana striker Jordan Ayew will stay at Olympique Marseille after a transfer deadline move on Tuesday to Nice collapsed, MTNFootball.com understands.

The 20-year-old son of African legend Abedi Pele was reported to be on his way out of the Stade Velodrome.

But Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere confirmed that both clubs could not reach an agreement over the player’s wages.

Les Aiglons coach Claude Puel wanted to give the budding forward more game time at the Stade Municipal du Ray.

Jordan would have moved on a season-long loan move with the option of making his deal permanent.

He has managed four starts out of seven matches in all competition for Marseille and scored two goals.

they hiding somewhere to finish their juju for the malawi game . God will reveal everything

    • Robb says:

If there are juju in soccer Malawi would have won the World Cup. Who practice juju and witchcraft more than Malawi and Zambia?

    • Lee says:

Show some respect to Ghana because Malawi is no where near the level of Ghana. You couldn’t even draw with Liberia but you arrogantly think Malawi will beat the Brazil of Africa? I can’t wait to see how your people would play against the best.
Ghana under 20 can convincingly beat Malawi senior national team.
