Ghana striker David Accam claims he rejected offers from many stellar clubs in Europe to stay with Helsingborg.
The ââ¬ËKingââ¬â¢ has been in blistering form for the Swedish side where he has scored double-digits this season.
The former Right to Dream product has increased his goal tally to 17, prompting many stellar clubs to enquire about his availability.
The red-hot striker has been linked with a number of top sides in Europe including English giants Manchester United, Swansea and Belgian side Standard Liege.
He has revealed he turned down numerous overtures to stay with Helsingborg.
ââ¬ÅGiven the position of the club, I felt it was right to stay this summer, despite bids,â⬠he toldà Aftonbladet.
ââ¬ÅI do not know what the future holds for me. All I know is that if I continue to work hard and be good with the team, it will benefit everyone. Maybe I can be top scorer.
ââ¬ÅBut I will not make an obsession. I just want us to have good results in the remaining matches. I know we can do it. That's why I did not want to leave this summer.
ââ¬ÅIt's nice to be linked with big clubs in Europe that means I'm good. I know I can be competitive against the top teams in Sweden and even better.ââ¬
Accam has been invited for Ghana's African Cup of Nations two-legged ties against Guinea next month.
