Helsingborg striker David Accam is a doubt for Thursday’s Swedish top-flight game at Elfsborg but manager Roar Hansen has calmed nerves.

The 23-year-old picked up an injury during their 3-2 home win over BK Hacken on Sunday night.

The Ghanaian international suffered the groin problem an hour before the game against Hacken but managed to play through the pain barrier and succeeded in scoring the winning goal.

He is now a doubt for Thursday's trip to the Boras Arena with an Achilles tendon injury but manager Roar Hansen has calmed the anxiety of their fans.

“He laid down. I thought he died there. I had almost decided to move the team as he did not seem to be able to play,” Hansen said.

“ Do not worry. It was little sore and just bleeding. I’m hoping he will be fine.”

Accam has been in terrific scoring form since the start of the Swedish season, scoring 5 goals in the Swedish FA Cup.
