Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan believes burgeoning striker Jordan Ayew will blossom into the nation’s finest goal poacher in future.

Jordan came under a barrage of criticism for refusing to lay a pass to Gyan who was in a better position to score against Germany in their second Group G match.

But Gyan who admitted he spoke to Jordan about the issue is confident that the young Marseille man will lead the lines one day.

“Jordan is the future of the Black Stars and we need to be patient with him,” Gyan told the media.

“We spoke about his decision over and over again but he apologized and I feel it should end there.

“He will one day lead the line and we need to allow him feel free to express himself.”
