Ghanaian international striker Samuel Afum ended his seven-month goal drought after scoring for BSC Young Boys in their 2-2 away stalemate with FC Zürich in the Swiss Super League on Sunday evening.

The former Hearts of Oak attacker had not the back of the net since last September and he hammered home a 30th minute strike to peck the scoring for Young Boys who had fallen down to an early goal.

Venezuelan international Josef Martínez cut through the hosts defence and tailored a pass for Afum and the 23-year-old made no mistake in burying the beyond David Da Costa in the Zurich post.

The evening summed up a memorable moment for the attacker as he started his first game since returning from injury before the start of the second round of the Super League.
