Ghana striker David Accam hit a brace and set up the other in Helsingborg’s 3-0 win over Djurgarden on the opening day of the Swedish league.

The 22-year-old scored in the 31st and 34th minute respectively after setting up Mattias Lindstrom for the opening goal after just five minutes.

Accam who was only recalled by Helsingborg from his loan spell at Ostersunds in the middle of the last campaign has thus served notice of his predatory instincts in the new season.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate has now succeeded in alerting rival clubs of his massive potential upfront with his brace in just the first game of the 2013 Swedish Allsvenskan.

Accam's confidence has sky-rocketed since receiving his debut call to the Ghana national team for the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

He however remains uncapped for the Black Stars as he sat on the bench in the comprehensive 4-0 win over the Nile Crocodiles.
