Ghana to start hunt for new coach to take over Black Stars

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will meet later on Tuesday to start going through the profiles of the coaches who have applied for the vacant Ghana coach's job.

The GFA has received the CVs of coaches across the world to take over from Kwesi Appiah after parting company with the Black Stars last week.

The coaches had the deadline of Friday to apply for the post which is understood to have brought in about 32 trainers interested in the position.

With Monday being a holiday in Ghana, the GFA will start going through the CVs on Tuesday with the best candidates shortlisted to be interviewed.

The GFA now have to appoint a new coach less than a month before the Black Stars play Guinea in two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The has mandated a committee of the association to meet from Tuesday to decide on the process of appointing a new coach.
