Udinese star midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu will not be leaving the Italian club in the January transfer window, according to his agent.

Agyemang-Badu, 23, has been linked with a move to Liverpool for a number of months and was expected to make the move from Udinese at some point in the near future with a number of clubs thought to be interested in his signature.

The Ghana international, who has been capped a total of 49 times, has also attracted interest from Premier League sides Hull City and Stoke City, according to reports, and he was expected to leave the club soon. However, his agent has expressed a different opinion, stating that his client will not be moving from the Serie A club until at least next summer.

“Emmanuel is carving out a prominent place at club level. His goal is to do well for Udinese and for the Ghanian national team,” Vagheggi told Calciomercato.

“It is the first season that he is playing consistently and he must continue to do so. We will take a call after 30th June, but the transfer market is not crossing our mind at the moment.

“We do not care to comment on the rumours that are circulating these days.”

Agyemang-Badu hinted at a summer departure from Udinese several months ago and he also said that he would be ‘happy to join Liverpool’ as rumours linking him with an exit spiralled out of control.
