Goalkeeper Richard Kingson has been handed a Ghana call-up for the first time in two years for this month’s World Cup playoff first leg against Egypt at home.
Kingson lost his number one position in the Black Stars due to his inactivity at club level following his release by then English Premier League side Blackpool in 2011.
But a move to Cypriot side Doxa has sharpened and prepared him for international football.
The experienced glovesman joined Doxa in the summer transfer window and has played in all four league matches so far.
Kingson is expected to reclaim his position against the Pharaohs on 15 October in Kumasi after Fatau Dauda failed to impress against Zambia last month.

Kingson has made 90 caps after seven Nations Cup appearances and two World Cup appearances.
