Ghana winger Christian Atsu scored on his return from the Africa Cup of Nations on Friday, helping Porto to defeat Beira Mar 2-0 in the Portuguese top-flight.
The youngster, who was one of Ghana’s players at the recent Africa Cup of Nations, showed that he has learnt from the AFCON with the exquisite finish.
Portugal’s Primeira Liga 19th round clash saw two goals from Atsu and Jackson Martinez help Porto earn the away victory in Aveiro city.
In the 34th minute, Porto broke the deadlock as Joao Moutinho’s pass found Atsu outside the box.
The Ghanaian youngster arrowed in from 25 yards in his first game back from national duty at the African Cup of Nations.
Beira Mar escaped the punishment over a handball in the box in the 42nd minute.
In the 72nd minute Martinez got the ball in the left side of the penalty area and took a skilled move with his left foot to break loose from the defender before making a delightful finish over the goalkeeper.
In the 81st minute, Joao Moutinho was replaced by Andre Castro, as the Dragon has to save some energy for an important midweek Champions League clash against Malaga.
Porto continues to lead in the Primeira Liga after the victory.

REVERT FROM THE 4-5-1 formation which has won us nothing since it’s inception. Even our U20 squad won worldcup playing 2 top.
ARE YOU BLIND? did you not see how Warris was rendered ineffective in our preAfcon friendly against cabo verde when you played him as an only striker? You take too long to learn , ALWAYS TRYING NEW PLAYERS FOR NO REASON.
INSTEAD OF LETTING YOUR TEAM PLAY. During the essien, Muntari, Steven Tornado era was Le Roy bringing in new faces for no reason? or only when necessary? This is free advice I am donating to you. Take it or leave it.
Yeah i would like to see us try out the 3-5-2 or the 3-4-3…we used the 3-4-3 in the WC against the US and Uruguay but im not such a big fan of the 4-4-2…we tried it against Malawi and it was terrible…but u never know
Pito I agree with you. I supported AA because it was wise and about time one of our own to handle the Black Stars! but we cannot go on the way it has been! AA was with the team in 2010 and 2012 so he should have known that playing A. Gyan has a lone striker will take us now where. AA however managed to do the same thing in 2013 bringing enormous pressure on Gyan making him ineffective. If we don’t see changes in AA’s game plan, tactics, and player selection in our up coming world cup qualifier then that will be the time for him to stop being Black Stars coach! PERIOD!
GOOD COACHES USE ALL THEIR TALENTS WISELY BUT KUMASI COACH SACKS HIS BEST TALENTS AVAILABLE TO HIM.wise up
@ansong you are nothing but a stupid fool . I dont blame you i blame that rotten and stinking pussy that you came out from. Because it is the scent of that pussy that has gotten into your head allowing you to make this comment.you imbecile

This guy is going to be great, he just needs a ill more experience and then I declare war on any ghana opponent. Claaa……….sick player!
It was a fluke. Mbola is better.
who gives a fuck about Mbola or what ever the fuck he is?
Atsu should only improve his physical strength alone and he would be a super sensational@ Ansong take your fucken racist from this website, your comments always shows that you have nothing better for the coach as well as Ghana but rather comes over here to demostrate racism, black fool!
