Posted On Tuesday, 1st January 2013

Abdoulaye Soulama has been named in Burkina Faso's squad

Two Ghana Premier League players have been included in Burkina Faso’s preliminary 28-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Asante Kotoko first choice goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama is among four shot-stoppers named by head coach Paul Put.

Soulama’s international career has been revived since Frenchman Paulo Duarte quit as Stallions coach.

Also named in the selected pack of players is AshantiGold defender Henri Troare.

The left-back must survive the cut to make his first appearance at the continent’s flagship event.

The duo will join the team’s pre-tournament camping which begins on 3 Janaury in Nelspruit, South Africa.

Burkina Faso are in Group C alongside defending champions Zambia, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
