Posted On Tuesday, 8th January 2013

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama has been named in Burkina Faso's AFCON squad

Ghana Premier League duo Abdoulaye Soulama and Henri Troare have been named in Burkina Faso’s final 23-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Soulama, who is Asante Kotoko’s first choice goalkeeper, will be playing in his first Africa Cup of Nations finals.

The shot-stopper had problems with former coach Paulo Duarte but his successor Paul Put has revived his international career.

Defender Troare plays for AshantiGold and has been consistent in the Ghana Premier League.

The left-back will be making his debut in the continent’s flagship event.

The duo will be part of the Stallions team which will arrive in Nelspruit this Tuesday to launch the final phase of their warm-up.

Burkina Faso will play Ghan’s Group B opponents Niger in a friendly on 10 January, Tanzania on 14 January and South African club Orlando Pirates the 16th.
