Asamoah Gyan scored three goals over the weekend
Ghana’s players are in top form ahead of Saturday’s clash with Malawi in Saturday’s decisive 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Lilongwe.
Two strikers in coach Kwesi Appiah squad scored hat-tricks for their club abroad before joining the Black Stars training camp in Kenya.
The Ghana squad is so rich with attacking options and even their defenders are scoring for their clubs in Europe as one was on target over the weekend.
Lead striker Asamoah Gyan scored thrice as his club Al Ain thrashed Al Dhafra in the UAE top-flight to move to the top of the scorers chart with seven goals in three matches.
Also top of a scoring chart is attacker Abdul Majeed Waris who also hit a hat-trick, helping his Swedish club Hacken to demolish rival Syrianska 5-1 in the league over the weekend.
Towering defender Isaac Vorsah scored for his Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg as they also won their league match on Saturday.
But the fulcrum of the Black Stars squad is the midfield where Juventus key player Kwadwo Asamoah, talented player Christian Atsu of Portuguese giants Porto and Andre Ayew of Marseille operate.
They will be backed by top performers in the Spanish La Liga as Osasuna’s Anthony Annan and Espanyol’s Mubarak Wakaso as both midfielders have deadly piledrivers.
Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey who is the captain of Norwegian side Stromsgodset has catapulted them to the top of the league and he is expected to prevent the Flames from scoring.
He will be protected by Vorsah and silky defender John Boye of French side Rennes who has been a top performer in Ligue 1.
Ghana will be counting on these players to secure them a place at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa in January.

On paper, this match should be a walk-in-the-park. The only thiNG that could lead to our detriment is complacency and undermining the opposition.
On the positive side, we have the quality, drive and support to produce a good result.
All the best to my dawgs, The BLACK STARS!!!
MY ADVICE TO A.A. AKWASI SHOULD KNOW THIS IS AN AWAY MATCH AND WE DO NOT NEED TO WIN. IT IS RATHER THE MALAWIANS WHO NEED TO WIN. SO YOU SHOULD KNOW WHICH FORMATION TO CHOOSE. THE BEST WAY TO DEFEND IS NOT TO ATTACK LIKE PEOPLE SAY, INFACT THAT SAYING IS AS STUPID AS SAYING THE BEST WAY TO ATTACK IS TO DEFEND. LOL. GET THE FORMATION RIGHT. THE BEST WAY TO DEFEND IS TO DEFEND AND PLAY A ONE MAN ROVING STRIKER, LOOKING FOR DEAD BALLS!
…….simple, soak the pressure cos the Malawians would be coming at us ,then we hit them with precise counter attacks, possibly via Atsu, who has speed and skill, this way we’ll wear them out even if we don’t score,it’ll be a difficult game tho’ and I wish them well.
If we really wanna win the AFCON next yr then we gotta beat this Malawi team hands down, they shouldn’t be a threat to our ambitions.
Too much quality in bs squad to b worried about malawi scorin us..uts a cool chop these players wnt go der to joke..malawians r scared a little error n the keeprs net wil shake.gh has too much quality dis tym round
