Ghana Olympic team coach Jabir drops seven players

Malik Jabir has chopped off seven of his squad members preparing for the All Africa Games and Olympic qualifiers.

Ashantigold’s Emmanuel Osei, Seth Paintsil of BA United, Kotoko’s Abdul Latif Amadu  and Isaac Sai of Heart of Lions have been sent home after two weeks of intense training.

Robert Abanga of second-tier side Pure Joy Stars, Daniel Twi of Techiman City and Kwabena Twumasi of Ebusua Dwarfs have also been sent packing from their Prampram training base.

The Black Meteors will kick off their campaign in March 2015 with a two-legged tie against Liberia.

The winner will take on DR Congo with the subsequent winner advancing to play Nigeria’s Dream Team in September and October over two-legged ties next year.

The West Africans will be competing for the seven slots available for the championship which takes place in Congo-Brazzavile.
