Ghana name squad for Sierra Leone friendly

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has named 18 players for the Black Stars Team 'B' side who will leave Accra on Friday afternoon to play Sierra Leone in a friendly.

Appiah, assistant Ghana coach, whittled down 24 players initially called up to pick his final squad.

League leaders Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko dominate the list with four players each.

The friendly is to commemorate the 50th Independence anniversary of Sierra Leone.

Defenders: Mohammed Sabato (Kotoko), Amos Frimpong (B.A. Stars), Alfred Arthur (Chelsea), Awudu Nafiu (King Faisal), Mohammed Awal (Kotoko), John Ashong (AshantiGold)

Midfielders: Edwin Gyimah (Liberty Professionals), Daniel Nii Adjei (Kotoko), Michael Insaidoo (Dwarfs), Larbi Coomson (Medeama), Eric Adjei (Great Olympics) Emmanuel Baffour (New Edubiase)
