
Espanyol midfielder Mubarak Wakaso will serve a one game suspension in the Spanish top flight for accumulated yellow cards.
The Ghana international got booked in Espnayol’s impressive 2-0 win at Malaga on Sunday.
Wakaso’s 43rd minute booking means he will sit out one match for securing five yellow cards.
This is the second time in the campaign the 22-year-old is being suspended for accumulated cards.
Wakaso will thus not be in action when Espanyol hosts Real Sociedad upon his return from the international break where the Black Stars play Sudan in a crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier.
The ex Villareal man’s disciplinary record this season has been very poor.
He has attracted 11 yellow cards and one sending off already this season and will join Juanfran Torres (Atletico Madrid), Ignacio Camacho and Duda (Málaga), Ruben Martinez and Roberto Trasshorras (Rayo) on the suspension list for the Week 29 La Liga fixtures.
Sergio Ballesteros, Pedro López (Levante), Guillerme and Gabriel Torje (Granada) are the others also on the suspension list.
