Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is delighted with team spirit ahead of the Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi.
The Black Stars will tackle The Flames in Lilongwe desperately needing to avoid a heavy defeat to qualify to next year’s African championship in South Africa.
The team is expected to touch base in the Southern African country this morning ahead of Saturday’s showdown.
And the Espanyol midfielder who has earned his debut Black Stars call-up is thrilled with the work ethics of his colleagues.
“Everything is going on well. I like the spirit in camp. We really need to qualify for CAN 2013 and therefore we’re doing everything possible to be there,” Wakaso said
“This is my first time and what I have seen here has surpassed my expectation.
“What I have seen gives me motivation that we will win the game in Malawi.
“The way we love each other and the relationship with the technical team is fantastic. We are like one family and this is the first time I have seen that in the national team.
“I love the way we’re training. Whatever we do we give thanks to God first and then work hard at it.
“I will urge the fans to keep praying for us like they’ve been doing over the years and Insha Allah we will qualify to the Nations cup.”
The West African powerhouse hold a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.
Go get it folks! The whole Ghana is behind you
Thats the spirit….
I need a goal each from Wakaso, Warris and Clottey because Atsu, Dede and Gyan will be heavily marked.
