Rabiu in Evian squad to face Sochaux
By Ameenu Shardow
Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has been named in the Evian squad to face Sochaux on Saturday.
The 23-year-old is in the side for the third consecutive week – emphasizing his importance to the team since returning from the 2013 Nations Cup.
The tireless tackler has been reborn since emerging one of the revelations in South Africa.
The ex Udinese midfielder was considered a mere squad player prior to his excellent performance for the Black Stars at the Nations Cup.
Rabiu has now started all but one game since returning from the tournament and is again expected to start in the home game against Sochaux on Saturday.
The 2009 U20 World Cup winner is expected to use his good form to help the Savoy Crosses out of the relegation zone they currently find themselves in.
Rabiu is one of the surest bets to make the next Ghana squad for the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan on March 24.
