The Spain-based player was taken off in Thursday’s 3-0 African Cup of Nations warm up frwin over Egypt in Abu Dhabi.
The midfielder fell awkwardly when he went for a challenge in the first half of the match at the Zayed Sports Stadium.
Some pains still persist in the ankle which prompted team doctors to exclude him from training to enable him undergo treatment.
He will be monitored over the next few hours before a decision is taken whether he requires further tests.
The Black Stars are training in Abu Dhabi ahead of their participation in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

I was calling for Emmanuel FRIMPONG inclusion to dubai but it fell on deaf ears. anyways good luck to Blackstars in this Afcon. I encourage A.A to work on the fitness of the lads. Make them play and run at high intensity speed to boost their stamina and energy levels to 100%. Blackstars no size!
