Marseille star Andre Ayew has dropped a strong hint that he could make a move to the Premier League during the upcoming summer.
Ayewââ¬â¢s contract at Marseille expires at the end of the current campaign and with the striker delaying talks of an extension; it is looking very likely that he will leave the Stade Velodrome during the upcoming summer.
With Ayew potentially becoming available on a free transfer, a host of clubs have unsurprisingly been linked with a move for the Ghanaian international and Premier League sides Swansea City, Newcastle United, Arsenal and Everton have all been credited with an interest to sign the 25-year old.
Now as a huge boost to interested Premier League sides, Ayew has dropped a huge hint that he will be making a move to the English top flight next season after stating that it would be an honour for him to play in England.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Ayew said, ââ¬ÅI have had a lot of different offers from different countries, but I will have to discuss with Marseille. I will make a decision soon, and look at the offers that are coming in and decide what is best for my future.
ââ¬ÅThe Premier League is the best league in the world today, and it would be an honour play there. I talk to a lot with my friends who have played there.
ââ¬ÅSamuel Etoââ¬â¢o, Alex Song, Samir Nasri, Joey Barton have all given me great advice about the Premier League. I am still in contract with Marseille, so I cannot give names of clubs, but there has been contact.ââ¬
Ayew has made 24 appearances for Marseille this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists in what has been a fruitful campaign for the French giants.
