Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has been ruled out of Parma’s trip to Torino on Wednesday night due to a foot injury.

Acquah picked up the injury during last Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat to Sassuolo and was replaced after 77 minutes by Macedonia international Stefan Ristovski.

The 24-year-old has been one of Parma’s key players and under-pressure coach Roberto Danadoni will sorely miss his services.

Parma are languishing in last place with just three points from their opening eight matches.

The Ducali are looking at alternatives should the clubs struggles continue with Davide Ballardini, Edy Reja and Hernan Crespo candidates to succeed Donadoni.
