Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu has been ruled out of Lorient’s weekend clash with Ajaccio for an unspecified injury.
The 21-year-old has made just one appearance in Ligue 1 since arriving on loan from Rayo Vallecano in January.
His progress at Lorient has however been halted with the latest injury which will see him sit out the away fixture at Ajaccio on Saturday.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate appeared to be on the up after making his full debut in the 3-0 win over Brest in the French Cup last week.
But was again relegated to the bench in the 1-1 draw with Valenciennes upon the league’s resumption.
Abu will now have to get back to full fitness before continuing his pursuit for regular first team action in the Les Merlus set up.
