Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu is hoping to recapture his lost form at French Ligue 1 side Lorient.
The 21-year-old is at the Stade Yves Allainmat – Le Moustoir for the remainder of the season after cancelling his loan agreement with Spanish La Liga side Rayo Vallecano.
Lorient manager Christian Gourcuff brought in the former Stromsgodset player of the season along with English U20 midfielder Ryan Mason as replacements for the departed Alaixys Romao.
Abu spent most his stint at Rayo on the sidelines as he made just a single first team appearance.
“I hope to bring many things to Lorient. I want to progress and help the club achieve its goals,” he told www.fclweb.fr.
“I am very happy to be in the Ligue 1 because it is one of the best leagues in Europe.”
He could make his Ligue 1 debut for Lorient when they take on Nice on Saturday.
