Ghana line up pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly against Egypt

Ghana will play Egypt in a friendly in Abu Dhabi
Ghana have lined up an international friendly match against Egypt in preparation for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars will take on the Pharaohs in the United Arab Emirates in January, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced.
The match will be played in Abu Dhabi on 10 January.
The Black Stars will take on Tunisia three days later at the same venue after an agreement was reached to play the Carthage Eagles.
“We have concluded an agreement to play for another high-profile friendly as part of our preparations for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations,” GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi said in a press statement.
“We will play Egypt in Abu Dhabi on 10 January to give the Black Stars the tough test they need ahead of the Nations Cup.
“Egypt are one of Africa’s giants in football and playing them will help the players and technical team prepare for the tournament.
“This is the second match we have confirmed ahead of the Nations Cup after we agreed to play Tunisia.
“We want to leave no stone unturned in our preparation the matches against Tunisia and Egypt will help the Black Stars a lot.”
Ghana will be camping in Abu Dhabi in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations to be held in South Africa from 19 January.
The Black Stars are drawn in Group B along with Mali, Niger and DR Congo and they will be based at Port Elizabeth.

Good matches hope we get another one Good luck, God help us to bring the cup in Ghana
I personally like the matches nd the choice of countries bt ma problem is the right utilization of the materials at our side to achieve gud results~

we are not fully done with team A not to talk about Team B
John u are absulutely rite.but am afraid of injuries and the players gettin tied even before the tounaments starts,
is the timing good, as it will be only 9 days to the CAN
I like the matches but I feek they are to close to the tournament date. The players need time to rest and make sure they are cleared for fitness. These friendlies should be played in December or at earlier in January, like from the 1st-5th.

GOOD show by GFA. I know they made The 2 matches close so as to reflect Afcon conditions. BUT A.A PLEASE USE YOUR FIRST 11 FOR BOTH MATCHES OOO. WE NEED TEAM COHESION ASAP.
The dates are fine….the teams did the same for the Euros
But also look how rough these North African teams play. The Tunisians were trying to beat up our players during the AFCON.
