Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi has strongly rejected claims that Friday's farewell match for the Black Stars is under threat from a GHALCA court threat.

Nyantakyi insists that the match will go ahead despite the threat from the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) of placing a court injunction on the historic match before the Black Stars play at the World Cup.

GHALCA threatened to place an injunction on Friday’s historic farewell match for the Black Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium claiming they must be pacified.

GHALCA, the welfare body of clubs in Ghana, says since players from several clubs in Ghana will be used they must also earn from the proceeds of the match.

However, Nyantakyi insists that the match will be played while other means are explored to thrash out any difficulties with the organisers of the match.

"I want to firmly place on record that the match will go ahead. There is no threat to the match," Nyantakyi said on local radio station Peace FM on Thursday.

"The GFA is the only body in this country mandated by FIFA to sanction matches and we have approved the match to be played to garner support for the Black Stars before they depart.

"If there are any issues between GHALCA and the organisers of the match we will look at it but the game will go ahead. There is no threat to the game at all."

The senior national team preparing for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals are billed to play local select side (mostly comprising players from the Ghana Premier League.)

GHALCA is demanding for a meeting with organizers Primeval Consult to know the financial details of the match.

The umbrella body for Ghanaian clubs is asking for an insurance package and allowances for all local players selected for the match.

GHALCA is advocating for a percentage share of the gate proceeds for clubs whose players would feature in tomorrow's game.

''We have just secured an injunction from court and will serve them if they fail to compromise,' GHALCA chairman Alhaji Ali Raji told the Daily Graphic in an exclusive interview

'We can't be doing things as usual; it must change from now.

'The organisers have been ignoring all invitations to discuss the concerns of GHALCA and its members.

'This is purely a business venture and must be seen as such and they have me to resort to as the last resort.''

However, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has sanctioned this match.
