The Ghana Football Association has reiterated the need to move the World Cup playoff return leg against Egypt away from Cairo.

The security situation in the North African country has deteriorated following latest clashes between supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and the security forces.

The Ghana FA has written to the world football's governing body to reconsider the venue.

FIFA has set up a committee to look into the worrying situation and will advise the two associations.

"We don't want to lose any Ghanaian lives (and) we don't want to lose any Egyptian lives just because of a football match," Ghana FA spokesperson Sannie-Daara said.
