Ghana is drawn in a tough group alongside Coted’Ivoire, Nigeria and Congo for the African U-17 Championships.

The Black Starlets, drawn in Group B are making a return to the competition after missing the two previous editions.

Paa Kwasi Fabin’s side however face a daunting task to get out of the group dominated by West African teams.

Host Morocco are in Group A alongside Gabon, Tunisia and Botswana.

The tournament will kick off on April 13, 2013 and ends on April 27.

The two teams from each group that progresses to the semi finals will earn automatic qualification for the World U17 Championships in the UAE next October.

Hmmmmm…same group with Nigeria’s Eaglet! That’s is a pretty group of death

  2. Typykal says:

How on earth did CAF sead the teams such that Gh, Nigeria n Cote d’voire fall in the same group while host, Morocco gets Tunisia, Botswana n Gabon. This is jx a ploy 2 get the host thru 2 the next stage n also 2 the world youth championship. Itz a shame 1 of those three teams in in group B, all powerhouses at U-17 level, wud be sacrificed 4 a mediocre team in group A 2 rep Africa at de world cup jx 4 the sake of Morocco.

  3. steve says:

@Typykal, you are on point there, i am a Nigerian.Nigeria and Ghana are two former African and World champions and i dont see why they should not be seeded to avoid clash at the early stage.I think fruadulent CAF wants Moroco to qualify for the world cup as a compensation for hosting and bribing Issa Hayato. The worst CAF president in recent history.

  4. steve says:

@Typykal, you are spot on .I am a Nigerian and i dont see the reason why Nigeria and Ghana should be in the same group .Both are former African and World Champions and i dont think it is wise not to seed them.I think fruadulent CAF wants to make sure that Morocco qualify for the world cup as a compensation for hosting the tournoment as well as the bribe they recieved from them.Issa Hayato is the worst President of CAF ever.

  5. Adam...Ghana says:

    well,
thats Africans leaders for you.why should they let that happen that way?hmmmmmmm dont have much to tell.

  6. Chu says:

Let not rush into conclusion. the draw was done based on recent team performance and we hv been poor in de last 4 yrs

  7. Chu says:

And this means gh was seeded in pot 2 alonside tunisia and the host and nigeria in pot 1. so no rush analysis

  8. Ogya says:

This should present a good challenge to the crew as it will eliminate any lackluster preparation towards the tournament, you will definitely encounter any of them on your way to the chalice and even have to encounter the dreaded south Americans and the Spanish further as you progress.
    REAL CHAMPS PLAY TOUGH SIDES.

  9. kimco says:

we fear the situation not the teams, it’s possible to be eliminated.
